Baumit KlimaWhite is a mineral mortar which contains natural lime, which serves as a natural regulator of humidity. The effect increases thanks to its microporous structure. It quickly absorbs more humidity than conventional mortars for interior spaces, and when the humidity level drops, it evenly lets in exterior air.
Featuring no harmful matters and being resistant to mold – lime filler and lime binder are what makes Baumit KlimaWhite mortar (pH value at around 12) a natural disinfectant, which acts as protection against harmful microorganisms and mold. Lime mortars and antistatic, so there’s no accumulation of dirt particles on them.
The Klima system also includes Baumit KlimaFino natural white, powdery, lime plaster for interior surfaces with an effect of regulating the humidity, as well as Baumit KlimaColor steam-permeable silicate paint, without organic matters that can evaporate and without solvents and preservatives.
A new item in Baumit’s offer is the Ionit system of products, crated to contribute to the health and the wellbeing through an active increase of the number of ions in the interior air.
In the nature (for example, near waterfalls), the concentration of air ions is very high – the air is seen as especially fresh and clean, whereas in the urban environments, it is far lower. The results of the research carried out in two reference rooms have shown that, under similar conditions, the Ionit system nearly doubled the number of air ions and thereby improved the quality of air.
