Air Serbia launches direct flights from Nis to Vienna and Malta

Yesterday, Air Serbia officially launched two direct air routes from Nis, to Vienna and Malta, providing passengers from southern Serbia with direct connections to these significant European destinations.

Flights between Nis and Vienna, as well as between Nis and Malta, will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. By introducing these routes, the national airline continues to develop air traffic at "Constantine the Great" Airport and enhance international connectivity for southern Serbia.

– Both destinations are of great importance, for tourism and business travel, as well as for our citizens living and working abroad. We believe these new routes will contribute to the further development of traffic at "Constantine the Great" Airport and offer passengers from Nis and the wider region a simpler and more accessible way to travel to key international destinations – stated Jirí Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

Vienna, the capital of Austria, is one of the most significant business, cultural and administrative hubs. Renowned for its rich historical heritage, magnificent architecture, and numerous cultural landmarks, most notably Schonbrunn Palace, the Hofburg, and St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Austrian capital attracts visitors year-round. Given the strong economic, historical and cultural ties between Serbia and Austria, the direct route from Nis is particularly valuable for travelers visiting family and friends.

Malta, an island nation in the Mediterranean Sea, is known for its Mediterranean climate, rich cultural and historical heritage and diverse tourism offerings. Its capital, Valletta, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, while numerous beaches, historical landmarks and picturesque coastal towns make Malta an attractive destination year-round. The new direct route will also facilitate travel for Serbian citizens living and working in Malta, as well as for their families.

Flight tickets for routes between Nis and Vienna, as well as Malta, are available via the official website airserbia.com, the Air Serbia mobile app, at the airline's branch offices, and through authorized travel agencies.
