Mayekawa SRB expanding capacity – Investing 307 million dinars in Smederevo production facility

The refrigeration equipment manufacturer Mayekawa SRB d.o.o. from Smederevo is expanding its production capacity and will allocate 306,813,600 dinars for this investment.

The project design was prepared by ITG d.o.o. from Smederevo, with Marija Lukic, B.Sc. Arch, serving as the lead designer.

The company SD Kuca Stil from Smederevo prepared the fire safety study.

The Department for Urban Planning, Construction, Investments, Property-Legal Affairs and Public Utilities of the Smederevo City Administration issued a building permit to the company for the construction, specifically the extension, of Phase 3 of the industrial production facility.

The new facility is planned to consist of four functional units: a production hall with crane runways, a testing station for chiller units featuring crane runways and a control room, a canopy and a transformer substation. The net area of Phase 3 is set at 2,424.32 m2, with a gross area of 2,484.86 m2.

The maximum footprint of the single-story extension measures 42.25 m x 80.85 m, with a height of 14.60 m. Upon completion of Phase 3, the facility’s maximum footprint will measure 126.43 m x 84.90 m, the total net area of all structures will be 10,190.14 m2, while the total gross area will amount to 10,498.41 m2.

Construction is planned on a plot covering 25,152 m2.

This phase also includes the completion of the access road, landscaping around the facility, and the creation of an additional parking area for passenger vehicles, providing 18 extra parking spaces.

A structure already exists on the plot, representing Phases 1 and 2 of the industrial-manufacturing facility’s construction.

Building 1 comprises a business services building and a production hall with an administrative annex (area: 3,386 m2), Building 2 is a gatehouse (18 m2), Building 3 is a wastewater treatment plant (7 m2) and Building 4 is a workshop for testing chiller units (area: 168 m2).

The Mayekawa SRB factory in Smederevo was established in January 2018 by the Japanese company Mayekawa, and the company is owned by Mayekawa Holding AG from Switzerland.
