– Specifically, a total of 1,036,685 passengers passed through Belgrade Airport in July, representing a 6.2 percent increase compared to the same month last year. Additionally, July 31 saw a record number of passengers in a single day, with 40,584 travelers served, while also marking the highest number of flights on a single day, totaling 378. Last year, the one-million-passenger mark in a single month was reached in August, further confirming the accelerated growth of traffic and the attractiveness of Nikola Tesla Airport. This success was primarily driven by national carrier Air Serbia, followed by Wizz Air and Air Montenegro, with contributions from other airlines as well – the company says.
As added, thanks to the continuous expansion of flight offerings in collaboration with airlines, Belgrade is connected to a record 118 destinations worldwide this summer season, including five intercontinental direct routes. This represents the richest seasonal choice of destinations ever available to passengers from Belgrade Airport, the company points out.
