NIS submits new application for operating license

NIS has submitted a new application to the US Treasury Department for a special license to continue its operations.

NIS thanked domestic and international institutions that support the company’s efforts to continue operations, highlighting its importance for the regular supply of petroleum products to the domestic market.

The current operating license for Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS), issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department, expires on August 28.

OFAC has also extended the license, until August 28, of Hungary’s MOL for negotiations with Gazpromneft on the sale of the Russian majority stake in the company, as well as the Adriatic Pipeline (JANAF).
