EXPO 2027 seeking operator for 10,173 parking spaces in Surcin – 120 workers to be hired at 14 locations

The EXPO 2027 company has issued a public call for parking management services within the complex of the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, and the job includes organizing work in a total of 14 parking lots with 10,173 parking spaces.

The complex will include 13 parking lots for passenger vehicles and one parking lot for buses with controlled entry and exit. Of the total capacity, 9,133 spaces are planned for passenger vehicles, 363 for electric vehicles, 590 for vehicles for people with disabilities, 54 for buses and 33 for vans.

The selected service provider will be responsible for complete parking management, including control and billing, customer service, administration, system monitoring, reporting, and organization of a technical depot.

A total of 120 people will be hired for work on the site. The majority of the staff will be 96 cashiers who will work on parking fees and customer assistance. There will also be 12 parking lot organizers, two administrators, five operators in the control center and five more employees in the technical depot.

The parking lots will operate 24 hours a day, while the presence of employees will be organized in shifts, depending on the zone. Five parking lots are scheduled to have continuous staff work, while the other seven will be staffed from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., or until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Parking fees will be collected via toll stations, manual cash registers and a mobile application. The system will use existing equipment from SKIDATA, Scheidt & Bachmann or equivalent equipment.

The service provider will also be responsible for providing POS terminals for manual payment, fiscalization, money and employee insurance, uniforms, mobile phones and SIM cards, office supplies, as well as organizing the collection of purchases and the transport of money.

A special part of the work concerns the technical depot, where employees will be constantly present, as well as the control center from which the condition of all parking lots will be monitored and the equipment will be remotely controlled.

The service will be provided from April 1 to August 31, 2027, while parking fees are scheduled to be collected during the exhibition, from May 15 to August 15, 2027.

The preparatory period lasts until May 14 and includes employee training, equipment testing, preparation of fiscalization, procurement and installation of POS terminals, system parameterization and other activities necessary for the start of collection.

The EXPO 2027 company should receive the funds generated by parking fees no later than the fifth of the month for the previous month.
