From October 25, 2026, Air Serbia will operate direct flights between Nis and Vienna, as well as between Nis and Malta, which will allow passengers from southern Serbia to continue direct air connections with these two important European destinations, the national airline announced.

Flights between Nis and Vienna, or Malta, will be available twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.

– As a national airline, we strive to contribute to the best possible connection of different parts of Serbia with Europe and to develop our offer in accordance with market needs. We believe that flights to Vienna and Malta will further contribute to the development of traffic from Constantine the Great Airport – said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.

Tickets for the new flights will be available on the airserbia.com website, via the Air Serbia mobile application, in the company’s branches, as well as through authorized travel agencies.

This announcement comes after the decision of the Irish low-cost company Ryanair to withdraw all flights from Nis from its reservation system.

As they later explained to N1, the company will suspend flights to/from Nis at the beginning of winter due to fuel problems.
