Serbia’s foreign trade in goods in first half of 2026 at EUR 39.6 billion

From the beginning of the year to the end of June, Serbia exported goods worth EUR 17.9 billion, or 8.3% more than in the same period last year, while at the same time, imports of goods had a value of EUR 21.6 billion, which was 3.7% more than in the same period in 2025.
The deficit amounted to EUR 3.7 billion, which was 14.1% lower compared to the same period last year.
The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 82.9% and was higher than the coverage in the same period last year, when it was 79.4%.
Foreign trade in goods was the largest with countries with which Serbia has signed free trade agreements.
European Union member states accounted for 58.7% of total trade.
Serbia’s second most important partner is the CEFTA countries, with which exports of EUR 2.3 billion were achieved in foreign trade in goods in the first six months of this year, while imports were EUR 782.2 million, with a surplus of EUR 1.5 billion and an import-export coverage of 303.1%, the Statistical Office announced.
