Public sector overtakes private sector in terms of earnings – State administration and public enterprises in the lead

The average May net salary of public sector employees, according to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, was 123,511 dinars.

This salary was about 7,200 dinars higher than the average in the private sector, which was 116,319 dinars.

The highest incomes in the public sector were earned by employees in state administration, where the average salary was 133,088 dinars.

Next were workers in public state enterprises with an average of 130,649 dinars, and the lowest salaries were earned by local administration, whose May average was 101,268 dinars.

In healthcare and social work, an average of 122,343 dinars was recorded, and in education and culture 120,110 dinars.
