State Sells Jat Apartments Kopaonik - Starting Price EUR 5.16 Million

The Ministry of Economy has announced a public invitation to participate in a public tender procedure with public bidding for the sale of the capital of Jat Apartmani Kopaonik doo, which manages hotel accommodation on Kopaonik mountain.

The subject of the sale is 100% of the company's capital, owned by the Republic of Serbia, with the starting price set at EUR 5.16 million, which, according to the valuation, represents the value of the capital as of December 31, 2025.

Eligible participants include domestic legal entities engaged in hotel and similar accommodation activities that recorded a net profit in 2025, as well as operating revenue of at least 700 million dinars.

The company operates at 1 Nikole Tesle Street on Kopaonik and, according to data from the Serbian Business Registers Agency, is registered for hotel and similar accommodation activities. The company's share capital amounts to more than 224 million dinars, while its total registered capital is represented by a stake wholly owned by the Republic of Serbia.

Interested bidders can purchase the sale documentation for 100,000 dinars, and requests to purchase the documentation must be submitted no later than August 7.

Applications to participate in the procedure must be submitted to the Ministry of Economy no later than August 12, while the public opening of bids will be held on August 14.

This hotel opened in 1985 and is one of the first hospitality facilities on Kopaonik. It has 134 apartments built in a mountain style.

Meanwhile, the privatization process for state-owned enterprises remains open. The Ministry of Economy's updated list of companies undergoing privatization includes companies for which public invitations could be announced as early as 2026, as well as large systems whose privatization remains blocked due to court disputes, restitution or restructuring processes.

Among the companies eligible for a public invitation this year, besides JAT Apartmani Kopaonik with 42 employees, are the Toza Markovic brick factory in Kikinda with 250 employees, agricultural company Backa from Sivac, ELNOS-Tours from Novi Sad, Progres AD from Belgrade, and Branko Gleca from Banatsko Visnjicevo.
