Temporary construction permit issued for preparatory works within framework of construction of Vojvodina Smile

A temporary construction permit has been issued, as well as a certificate of registration of preparatory works preceding the construction of the Vojvodina Smile expressway, the Kula municipality announced.

According to the data from the documentation, these works have already begun and should be completed by the end of May next year. In addition to the main route of the Vojvodina Smile expressway, the construction of a network of access branches is also planned that will enable the connection of surrounding settlements with this road route, which should improve regional traffic connectivity and create conditions for a more balanced economic and infrastructural development of Vojvodina.

The road is designed for a speed of 100 kilometers per hour and will include 46 bridges, 34 overpasses, five underpasses and 35 culverts. The construction of 12 interchanges is planned on the route, namely near Sombor, Kljajicevo, Sivac, Crvenka, Kula, Vrbas West, Vrbas North, Vrbas East, Vrbas E75, Srbobran North, Turija and Kikinda East.
