Government adopts Draft Law on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control – Digitalization of integrated permit issuance procedure envisaged

At its latest session, the Government of Serbia adopted the Draft Law on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control, which improves the environmental protection system and harmonizes domestic legislation with European Union regulations, the Government announced.

The new legal solutions envisage the simplification and digitalization of the integrated permit issuance procedure, strengthening inspection supervision, greater transparency and public participation.

– A more efficient industrial pollution control system is being introduced, based on the application of the best available techniques and modern environmental protection standards. It is expected that the implementation of this law will contribute to a higher level of environmental protection, more efficient work of competent authorities and improvement of the system of issuing and monitoring integrated permits – the Government stated.

Members of the Government adopted the Conclusion on the Adoption of the Migration Profile of Serbia for 2025, which is a key document for monitoring migration flows and creating policies in the field of migration management. The document brings together data from several state administration bodies and provides a comprehensive analysis of migration trends in the Republic of Serbia during 2025.

Its regular updating is a legal obligation and part of the activities of harmonization with international standards in the field of migration. The adoption of the Migration Profile provides a reliable basis for planning and implementing migration policy measures, and the implementation of this conclusion does not require additional funds from the Serbian budget, the statement says.
