Elektroprivreda Srbije has become a member of the Data Center Association of Serbia, which is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the energy and information and communication technology sectors, especially in the field of digital infrastructure development, EPS announced.

– The development of Data Centers is no longer just an infrastructure issue, but one of the key issues of energy, digitalization and the future of the AI ecosystem. For EPS, participation in such initiatives brings a better understanding of the development of the industry, from electricity consumption trends to the direction of technological and investment cycles. Timely positioning and taking an active role in shaping a sustainable, energy-efficient digital environment in Serbia is key at a time when AI and data centers are becoming one of the main drivers of growth – said Katarina Andrejevic, Executive Director for Information Technology and Digitalization.

By joining the Data Center Association of Serbia, as highlighted, EPS is further strengthening cooperation with representatives of the economy and the technology sector, with the aim of ensuring that the development of the electricity infrastructure follows the needs of a modern digital society and contributes to the sustainable development of Serbia.
