Crowne Plaza coming to Zlatibor - Contract signed for construction of luxury hotel and residential facilities, investment worth up to EUR 80 million

The international hotel chain InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced its arrival in Zlatibor, where a new hotel complex will be built under the Crowne Plaza brand, and a contract was signed between IHG and the company LUSS Leisure doo, officially starting this project.

The total value of the investment, including the hotel and residential facilities, is estimated at between EUR 70 and 80 million, while the hotel itself will cost between EUR 30 and 35 million. Completion of construction is planned for the next two to two and a half years, the municipality of Cajetina announced.

The future Crowne Plaza Zlatibor will have 225 hotel rooms, a large spa center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, congress facilities, fitness areas and children’s play areas. Within the wider complex, the construction of seven residential buildings with a total of about 850 accommodation units is also planned, as well as a special facility for employee accommodation.

The hotel will employ about 120 workers, and the management of the facility has been entrusted to the company Peritum Consulting doo. This will be the second Crowne Plaza in Serbia.

According to the investor’s announcements, the complex is also planned as a congress and business destination, with the aim of attracting international corporate events, fairs and symposiums, while the construction of sports fields near the hotel is also being considered in cooperation with the municipality.
