Austrian Feller opens factory in Subotica and announces further expansion

A new factory of the Austrian company Feller doo, which manufactures and distributes power cables, was opened today in the Subotica economic zone Mali Bajmok.

– The opening of this factory for our city is, at the same time, a great compliment too, because it is known that family companies are much more careful in choosing locations for their investment and that they come only to places where they estimate that the business risks are negligible. With gratitude for the trust they show by investing in our city and in the belief that they are welcome in the company of companies already operating in the Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone, I wish the management of the Feller factory good business results and the creation of new jobs, and the employees of the factory a lot of success in their work – said Assistant Mayor Srdjan Samardzic.

The company’s director, Nebojsa Milosevic, said that the company manufactures cables for all devices that need to receive electricity from the source, i.e. from the wall, to the device.

– We have currently established about 85% of the production process, and the plan is to transfer additional lines and additional products by the end of the year and to utilize our production facility to the maximum at the beginning of next year. After that, we hope that, if the situation is favorable, we will continue with the construction of the second and third halls. Seventy-three people are currently employed and will remain at that level for the time being – said Nebojsa Milosevic.

He emphasized how important the support they had received from the City of Subotica and the Subotica Free Zone since their arrival in Subotica and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in May 2022 had been.
