All set for construction of national concert hall of Belgrade Philharmonic in New Belgrade – Investment worth EUR 240 million

The Secretariat for Urban Planning and Construction of the City of Belgrade has issued a building permit for the construction of the national concert hall - the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall, which will be built in New Belgrade, on the corner of Mihajla Pupina Boulevard, Usce and Nikole Tesle Boulevard.

The building permit is valid for three years from the date of finality - within that period the investor must report the start of work, otherwise the permit ceases to be valid.

The estimated value of the works is around 28.1 billion dinars, or around EUR 240 million, and the facility is being built on land in the public ownership of the Republic of Serbia. Although the plot is located in a zone of protected cultural property, the competent authorities have determined that all legal and formal requirements for issuing the permit have been met.

The investor of the project is the Republic of Serbia, namely the Ministry of Public Investments, which will exercise investor rights on behalf of the state, based on the previously issued consent of the Government of Serbia.

According to the permit, the concert hall will have a total gross developed construction area of 56,656.5 square meters, of which 27,927 square meters will be above ground and 28,729.5 square meters will be underground.

The facility is planned to have a floor structure of B+SB+GF+5.

A total of 325 parking spaces will be provided within the complex, of which 18 are intended for people with disabilities, while the project also includes landscaping the site. The plots will be connected by car via Usce and Nikole Tesle Boulevard, while pedestrian access is planned from all three surrounding roads.

The design of the facility is led by Zabriskie d.o.o, while technical control is performed by Asmec Consultants d.o.o. The construction is provided by Beging d.o.o, while the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic installations are handled by Cmd Cons Engineering d.o.o.

The fire alarm, sound and sprinkler systems were designed by Technosector d.o.o, while Pro Control d.o.o is developing the stage technology – lighting, mechanics and audio-visual systems. Urbino – Planning, Design and Engineering Office is responsible for the exterior landscaping and greening, while Cerera d.o.o worked on the irrigation project. Geotechnical studies were carried out by Geoexpert d.o.o, and noise protection was analyzed by Universal Acoustic Solution.
