Bindi Metals Begins Initial Drilling at the Ravni Project Near Raska: “It’s Time to Confirm How Much Gold Lies Underground”

Bindi Metals has confirmed the start of exploration work at its “Ravni” project, located within the well-known Raska mining basin in southern Serbia. This marks the first time modern diamond drilling has been conducted at this specific site, focused on confirming historical data indicating rich deposits of precious metals, the company said in a statement.

The first phase of the program includes around 2,000 meters of drilling across several key locations within the project area. The main goal of geologists is to test zones believed to contain significant gold reserves, as well as copper, given that the Raska region is known for geological formations similar to those found in the world-famous mines in Bor and Majdanpek.

- The start of drilling at the Ravni project represents a milestone for our company in Serbia, said Bindi Metals CEO Henry Bennett. - We believe this site has enormous potential, and the first surface samples we previously collected indicated high gold concentrations. Now it is time to confirm what lies deep underground.

This move comes at a time when gold prices on global markets are reaching record levels, placing projects such as “Ravni” at the center of attention for global investors, as well as the local economy, which could benefit significantly from the potential opening of a new mine in the future.

The company has already established a logistics base nearby and hired local subcontractors for field operations.

What makes this project especially attractive to investors is its proximity to already discovered deposits. The Raska region is increasingly being referred to in mining circles as “the new hope of European mining,” attracting capital from Australia and Canada.

Ravni is a settlement near the village of Biljanovac in the Ibar Valley, in the municipality of Raska, and the gold project, which covers 30.5 square kilometers of exploration area, is located in the Kopaonik metallogenic zone. In early March, Bindi announced that mapping and soil sampling confirmed high-grade gold potential, with results reaching up to 48.7 grams per tonne.

The first laboratory analysis results from the core samples are expected in the coming weeks. If the drill holes confirm expectations, Bindi Metals plans to expand the exploration zone and invest further in infrastructure.

Bindi Metals officially completed the acquisition of the Ravni project in February 2024 by taking over the projects from local company RedCreek. The move secured the company 100% ownership of the license.

Ravni had previously been explored by various companies including First Quantum Minerals, Tethyan Resources, Euromax, and most recently Terra Balcanica. Their exploration produced remarkable results: at the Ceoviste site alone, surface rock samples showed up to 64 grams of gold per tonne.

Before acquiring the Ravni gold project in Serbia, Bindi had also purchased antimony projects in the area of the former Lisanski mines and in Mutnica near Paracin.
