Australian miners secure access to gold-bearing plots in Raska – Drilling in Ravni settlement announced for May

The Australian company Bindi Metals announced that it has secured access to key exploration locations at the Ravni project in southwestern Serbia, the municipality of Raska, thus fulfilling the conditions for the start of the first phase of drilling.

The latest statement from April 29 states that the company has secured access to the land at priority points planned for drilling, that is, that it has received permission to enter the plots and carry out the planned exploration work. These are locations that have been marked as key for the initial phase of exploration of the deposit.

This step represents the final preparation before going into the field, since without access to the land it is not possible to carry out drilling work, although the necessary permits have been obtained beforehand. The company emphasizes that it can now move on to the operational phase of exploration.

The start of the first drilling campaign, the so-called “maiden drilling program”, is planned for May. During this phase, exploratory drilling and sampling will be carried out, with the aim of collecting data on the composition and potential of the deposit.

As stated, the upcoming works represent the next step in the exploration of the Ravni project and are focused on the priority objectives defined within the project.

As a reminder, the Australian mining company Bindi Metals Limited announced at the end of February that it had received official approval from the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy to launch the first phase of exploratory drilling at the Ravni gold project in the Ibar Valley.

The project is aimed at exploring potential gold deposits, and the company stated that previous geological surveys at the surface have shown the presence of epithermal mineralization - a type of deposit often associated with gold and silver.

The ministry approved changes to the work program under the existing exploration permit, allowing Bindi to begin drilling, subject to prior land access agreements with private plot owners and forest land authorities. Ravni is a settlement near the village of Biljanovac, in the Ibar Valley, Raska Municipality, and the gold project, which covers 30.5 km2 of exploration area, is located in the Kopaonik Metallogenetic Zone. In early March, Bindi announced that mapping and soil sampling had confirmed the potential for high gold content, with results of up to 48.7 grams per ton.

Ravni has previously been explored by various companies including First Quantum Minerals, Tethyan Resources, Euromax and most recently Terra Balcanica, and the exploration has yielded incredible results: at the Ceovište site alone, surface rock samples showed up to 64 grams per ton of gold.

Bindi Metals has meanwhile completed the restructuring of its Serbian subsidiary Red Creek d.o.o. Nove Beograd, with which it signed a binding agreement last year to take over the high-quality Ravni gold project in Serbia. This formalized the Australians’ controlling ownership stake and management rights in the Serbian company, which retains the exploration permit obtained last September.

Prior to the Ravni gold project in Serbia, Bindi also purchased antimony projects in the area of the former Lisanski Rudniki and in Mutnica, Paracin.
