Beogradcvor wins verification job for new railroad to MIND Park and Siemens near Kragujevac

Beogradcvor doo Beograd has been awarded a contract worth 13.5 million dinars for the provision of designated body (DeBo) services within the project to build a new rail line (Jovanovac) – Rasputnica Cvetojevac – Sobovica. The contract was awarded on March 14, 2026, in an open public procurement procedure announced by the Serbian Railway Infrastructure company.

This is a project to build a new rail line that will connect the MIND Park work zone in Sobovica and the Siemens factory complex in Luznice with the existing Lapovo – Kragujevac – Kraljevo rail line. The aim of the project is to improve rail transport of passengers and goods, as well as better connect industrial zones with the national rail network.

The new line will be approximately 14.5 kilometers long, designed as single-track and non-electrified, with a designed speed of up to 80 km/h. The railroad is planned to have a D4 category, which implies a load of 22.5 tons per axle.

The route will separate from the existing Lapovo – Kraljevo railroad in the area of the Jovanovac station, via the new Cvetojevac interchange, and will end at the Sobovica station. The project envisages the construction of the Sobovica station, three passenger stops, as well as connections of industrial tracks to the MIND park and the Siemens complex.

The planned infrastructure includes the construction of the complete upper and lower track of the railroad, bridges, retaining walls, culverts and drainage systems, as well as signaling, safety and telecommunications installations. The construction of the Sobovica station with the station building, platforms and supporting facilities is also planned, while the Cvetojevac and Luznice service points will receive facilities for signaling, safety and telecommunications equipment.

The project also includes the reconstruction of certain level crossings, the relocation of electrical and telecommunications installations, as well as the adjustment of local roads.

The works on the implementation of the first phase of the project have already been divided into several sub-phases due to the complexity of the infrastructure project. The deadline for the implementation of the verification service is scheduled for December 31, 2026, while the deadline for issuing the certificate is 30 days from the completion of the works and the submission of complete technical documentation for each subsystem.
