These electric trains will be built by Skoda in Kragujevac? – Cooperation with MIND Park will also include trams and trolleybuses for the streets of Belgrade

The Czech company Skoda Transportation and the Serbian company MIND Park signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Monday, with the intention of localizing the production of railway vehicles in MIND Park in Serbia, in cooperation with the MIND Group in Kragujevac.

Now it is known which vehicles these will be.

As the Skoda Group announced on its Facebook account, the common goal of the two companies that signed the memorandum is “the modernization of regional transport with Skoda’s proven RegioPanter electric trains.”

The RegioPanter is a modern electric train for regional and suburban transport. The announcement also states that the goal of this cooperation is comprehensive solutions for urban transport, including trams and trolleybuses on the streets of Belgrade.

– By combining Czech engineering and Serbian production, we are building a solid foundation for sustainable transport in the region – stated the Skoda Group.
