Government temporarily reduces excise duties on fuel by around 20% – New decision valid until April 15

The Serbian government has decided to temporarily reduce excise duties on certain oil derivatives, which will apply until April 15. The decision was made, as stated, due to the increase in producer prices of derivatives caused by the increase in the price of crude oil on the world market.

According to the new decision, excise duties on leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline and gas oils (diesel) have been temporarily reduced by 20% compared to the amounts that were valid as of February 15, 2026.

The new excise tax amounts are:

• leaded gasoline – 61.24 dinars per liter
• unleaded gasoline – 57.60 dinars per liter
• gas oil (diesel) – 59.23 dinars per liter

According to the previous cut-off, which applies from February 15, 2026, the state charged an excise tax of 76.55 dinars per liter of fuel for leaded gasoline, 72 dinars for unleaded gasoline, and 74.04 dinars for diesel.

The excise tax on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), which is 56.23 dinars per kilogram, has not been changed by this decision.
