Vlahovic: Serbia will host the 21st World Congress of the International Economic Association in June

The President of the Association of Economists of Serbia, Aleksandar Vlahovic, said yesterday that in June of this year, Serbia will host the 21st World Congress of the International Economic Association and emphasized that it will be the first time that the most significant event in the economic profession will be organized in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

- We expect the arrival of more than 1,000 of the most important economists and scientists from around the world, including several winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics. After more than 20 years, this most important world event in our profession is returning to Europe, and for the first time it will be organized in the region of Central and Eastern Europe - said Vlahovic at the 33rd Kopaonik Business Forum.

He stated that the organization of that congress is a great recognition for the previous work of the Association of Economists of Serbia, as well as that the Government of Serbia, which is the sponsor of that meeting, provided financial support for its organization.
