Glamocic meets with farmers: New labeling of domestic food products, draconian penalties for abuse

Minister of Agriculture Dragan Glamocic met with representatives of dozens of agricultural associations from all over Serbia and announced the introduction of 100% from Serbia labels, so that consumers can more clearly recognize domestic products.

The meeting with the minister was attended by farmers involved in livestock breeding, crop farming, fruit growing, vegetable growing and other production sectors.

Glamocic said that, in the coming weeks, the 100% from Serbia label and new labeling of food products would be implemented.

He stressed that there would be “draconian” penalties for those who abused this label.

The Ministry of Agriculture will, as stated at the meeting, also initiate a systemic regulation of relations between producers and buyers.
