Famous Spanish spinal surgeon, professor Dr. Norberto Ventura operates in Kragujevac again

Famous Spanish spinal surgeon professor Dr. Norberto Ventura was again at the University Clinical Center Kragujevac, where, together with doctors from the Department of Spinal Surgery, he operated on children with spinal deformities.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Health, Serbia renewed cooperation with this famous spinal surgeon from Barcelona.

Thanks to this cooperation, a large number of children with very severe deformities have been operated on.

It is estimated that close to 100 interventions have been performed in the past seven years.

The cooperation has been going on for eight years, as professor Dr. Norberto Ventura has been coming to Kragujevac since 2018.

He says that the hospital is well-equipped and the doctors are professional, so various interventions can be performed - spinal deformity surgeries and implants.

– During operations, we also perform spinal monitoring to avoid potential problems, so I can say that the University Clinical Center in Kragujevac is equipped for all types of spinal operations – he said.

Cooperation with an eminent spinal surgeon has enabled our doctors to expand their knowledge and gain additional experience, which has created the conditions for performing a large number of operations in the field of spinal surgery.
