Chinese textile company Guannan Holding is considering investing in Serbia – Is the European Textile Industrial Park still being considered in our country?

Chinese textile company Guannan Holding is considering investing in Serbia, and in connection with the potential investment, representatives of this company held a meeting with the Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic.

As said in the statement of the relevant ministry, the company Guannan Holding Group Co. Ltd is one of the leading investors in the textile industry sector, with a significant portfolio of projects in China and abroad.

– This meeting is a continuation of our discussions that began in November last year during my visit to China, about this company’s investment in our country – Mesarovic indicated, as reported by the ministry.

Let us remind that, in July last year, Mesarovic met with the president of Guannan Holding Group, Shao Xiong Cai, and it was announced at the time that this company, as one of the most significant Chinese investors in the field of construction and management of industrial parks, the textile industry, and real estate, was considering the construction of a European textile industrial park in Serbia.

It was emphasized at the time that Guannan Holding had extensive experience in the construction of industrial zones with an area of over one million square meters and a developed network in China, Europe, and Asia.

However, after the latest meeting, the ministry did not specify whether the talks had continued regarding the further development of the project for the potential construction of an industrial park or whether some other investment had been discussed.
