Popovic: Serbia to receive Russian gas at the most favorable conditions in Europe throughout 2026

Serbia will receive Russian gas “at the best price in Europe and under the most favorable conditions” throughout 2026, Serbian Minister Nenad Popovic said today.

During the meeting of the co-chairs of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation - Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov and Minister Popovic, numerous issues having to do with improving bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia, including economic relations and trade, were discussed, the Cabinet of the minister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad announced.

– Our countries have a good cooperation dynamic and a lot of joint work has been done – Maxim Reshetnikov emphasized. – Despite the postponement of the session of the Intergovernmental Committee last year for technical reasons, the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee continues to implement the orders of our presidents Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic. In 2026, we will continue our work at the same pace and intensity.

– Such results were achieved thanks to the friendly and brotherly relations between President Vucic and President Putin – Popović added. – Together with Minister Reshetnikov, we decided to hold the session of the Intergovernmental Committee in the spring of 2026. We will be happy to host our Russian colleagues in Belgrade – he stated.
