Reconstruction of Port of Novi Sad imminent – Construction permit issued for first phase of works

The Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport has issued a construction permit to the Port Governance Agency and DP World ad Novi Sad as investors for the construction and reconstruction of the Port of Novi Sad.

Specifically, this secretariat gave the green light to amend the previously issued decision on the construction permit (dated April 18, 2022). Namely, on November 26, 2025, the Port Governance Agency and DP World addressed this secretariat with a request to issue a decision on amending the decision on the construction permit, which was approved after checking that the conditions for this were met and submitting additional required documentation.

This permit, as can be seen in the decision, approved the first phase of construction and reconstruction of the Port of Novi Sad. The works include the reconstruction of Kanalska and Ribarska streets, the construction of a parking lot, the construction of a handling area, as well as the exterior lighting of the complex.

The permit also approved works on the control of the vehicle entrance (canopy with associated equipment - weighbridges, license plate readers, ramps, container 1 (weigher office and security office), container 2 (sanitary area and IT office), two containers for grain sampling with two sampling devices).

In this phase, the construction of an open storage plateau, the construction of three silo cells, as well as supporting facilities necessary for the proper functioning of the silos (control room, reception bunker, canopy, elevator tower - grain transport tower, connecting bridges to the coast and bridges over the silo cells of phase 1) are also planned.

The total estimated value is 711,446,578.71 dinars excluding VAT.
