Petrol for Serbia via Constanta

The Constanta Oil Terminal, operator of the state-owned oil terminal on the Black Sea, announces that it wants to diversify its business and will be able to receive imported petrol for distribution on the Romanian market and in neighboring countries, reports Profit.ro.

The company's new plans envisage the modernization of the storage infrastructure, the implementation of modern measurement and control equipment, the expansion of the product portfolio, as well as the expansion of capacities in strategic areas of the port. In the medium term, the main goal is to automate all technological flows, minimize the risk of human error, optimize transfer times and increase work safety, reports the National Oil Committee of Serbia.

- The oil terminal intends to diversify its operational flows and adapt to the future needs of the Romanian and regional markets, in order to remain a visited regional hub. This will allow it to receive imported gasoline for distribution to the Romanian market and neighboring countries, areas that could suffer from gasoline supply problems after the NIS Pancevo, Lukoil Romania and Lukoil Burgas refineries were closed as a result of the sanctions, the company announced.

In recent years, projects have been implemented to increase storage capacity, so in the future, the goal will be to modernize existing and improve the safety of equipment. The company will continue to look for "green" projects, for which it can access funds and improve environmental conditions.
