Belgrade International Motor Show – 3.5 million Bugatti, Serbian FIAT and Citroen against Chinese dominance (PHOTO)

The Belgrade Motor Show - or officially the 56th International Motor Show ended yesterday at the Belgrade Fair. Estimates of how successful it was will come later, but the first impression is that it was extremely well attended, considering that a large crowd was also recorded on Tuesday evening. This is supported by the fact that there were as many as 60,000 visitors during the weekend! It is not surprising, because as many as 51 automobile brands are premiering 80 models, 12 brands of light commercial vehicles are presenting 27 premieres, and 42 motorcycle and ATV brands - 72 premieres.

Right at the beginning, in hall 3, fans of four-wheelers had the opportunity to enjoy the premium segment of brands such as Porsche, Audi, BMW and Mini, while Mercedes did not exhibit its models this time. Most attention was drawn by the most expensive car in the offer - the Maserati MC20 GT2 Stradale. The price of this model, which reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, depends on the equipment. The standard one is EUR 319,200, while with additional equipment and VAT it costs EUR 480,824.





However, the competition for Maserati could be found in Hall 1, where the Bugatti Chiron privately owned by Mate Rimac, registered in Zagreb, was on display. With a power of 1500 HP, acceleration from 0 to 100 in 2.4 seconds, and from 0 to 400 in 32.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 420 km/h, it justified the epithet of the most expensive car ever exhibited at the Belgrade Fair. Namely, its initial price was EUR 3.5 million, but it was growing further. It is also interesting that only 500 such examples were produced.



The most attention in hall 1 was attracted by the model "proudly made in Serbia", as presented at the fair. It is the often-mentioned Grande Panda, whose price for the hybrid version is EUR 16,990, while the electric model is EUR 24,990. This model also received the plaque of the Automotive Forum for the hit of the fair.







Fiat also presented the 600 model, also a hybrid, whose full price, with STD equipment, is EUR 28,500, while it could be purchased at the fair at a price of EUR 21,490.



The car of the year in Serbia - Citroen C3, selected by the Association of Automotive Journalists of Serbia and the Automotive Forum, which resembles a small SUV - was also presented. As a reminder, the electric version will be produced in our country, at the Stellantis factory in Kragujevac. It is offered under fair conditions with a price of EUR 14,990 for the YOU equipment.





Models from manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Nissan, Skoda, Honda, Toyota, Opel, Peugeot, Suzuki, Kia, Jeep could be seen.

From dizzying prices to a much more favorable offer. As announced by the Belgrade Fair, the most affordable model is the Dacia Sandero with a price of EUR 14,990. In this regard, one of the strongest impressions from the fair is certainly the dominance of Chinese brands - BYD, Chery, MG, Geely, Dongfeng, Yudo, Foton Motors, Dayun and so on, especially in the segment of electric vehicles. As many as 20 brands were presented.





Special attention was attracted by a real "beast" - Dongfeng MHero, a luxury electric SUV, unusually tall and worth EUR 150,000.



Visitors could see many novelties, including the new Ford Mustang Fastback. Its fair price including VAT is EUR 77,290. Among other things, it has blind spot sensors, a heated leather steering wheel, heating and cooling of the front seats, 12 speakers, and additional equipment is included in the price - metallic color (Yellow Spash), Brembo brake calipers in red and Magneride - adaptive suspension with a magnetorheological shock absorber system.





The segment dedicated to motorcycles, scooters and quads - Motopassion, did not disappoint either. Lovers of fast driving and adrenaline could enjoy various models of famous brands, such as Ducati, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW.





Models of different price categories were presented, and here too it was possible to see the offer of Chinese manufacturers. Thus, in the segment of quad bikes, the Loncin XWolf 200 model stood out, with a volume of 176 cubic cm, which costs EUR 2,690 at a discount, and its full price is EUR 2,999, with extremely favorable conditions for purchase.



The SSV (Side by Side Vehicle) off-road vehicle - CFMOTO Z10 TURBO, weighing 845 kg and having 143 hp, had its premiere. It is intended for adrenaline junkies, and provides exceptional stability and comfort on the most demanding terrains.

The exhibition of models of four-wheelers and two-wheelers was accompanied by stands with equipment and tools.

This year's car show was opened until yesterday at 7 PM. An individual ticket was 700 dinars, and a group ticket was 500 dinars.
