Danube Riverside receives EUR 30 million in subsidies for building Ritz-Carlton on site of Hotel Jugoslavija

The company Danube Riverside, owned by Millennium Team, has received a EUR 30 million subsidy from the state for the construction and furnishing of the Ritz-Carlton hotel on the site of the demolished Hotel Jugoslavija, Nova ekonomija has learned.

The subsidy agreement was signed by the Ministry of Economy on December 8 last year. According to the agreement, the company was granted incentives in the amount of 20% of justified investment costs, which amounts to exactly EUR 30,142,217.2.

The money will, as stated, be paid in two tranches, namely EUR 15.5 million in 2026 and EUR 14.6 million in 2027.

The total value of the investment should exceed EUR 150 million.

The former Hotel Jugoslavija was sold in early 2024 to MV Investment, owned by the Millennium Team, for around EUR 27 million, which was half of its estimated value.

In November 2024, Danube Riverside signed a contract with Marriott International, which enabled the construction of a luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel on the site of the former Hotel Jugoslavija.

The old hotel was demolished in early 2025.

Osmišljen trg sa fontanama, kao i luksuznim hotelom sa 5 zvezdica, kapaciteta oko 200 soba, sa restoranima, salama za poslovne sastanke i konferenciju, igraonicom za decu, teretanom, SPA centrom, frizerskim i kozmetičkim salonom, bazenom, brendiranim prodavnicama, baštama i terasama. Tu je i kazino na 4.040 m2.

Kompleskom dominiraju dve kule na severu u jugu građevinske parcele, visine do 155 metara, u jednoj će se nalaziti poslovni prostori.

Planirani su poligoni za jedriličarske i veslačke sportove u okviru vodene površine.
