Serbia has reached an agreement to extend gas supplies for another three months, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.

- We have an agreement to extend gas supplies for another three months, until March 31, so people can be safe and rest easy, Serbia will have both electricity and enough gas for the upcoming winter season - Vucic said.

Regarding the nationalization of NIS, he said that we should wait until January 15.

- We will wait until the last moment, but even then we will not seize, but we will buy. We are waiting for the Russians to complete their part of the work, we hope that they will complete it by January 15, but then we will try to pay for it if necessary, even beyond what it is worth - Vucic said.

When it comes to the energy situation and the upcoming period, as he added, the state has information that Gazprom is talking, among others, with the Hungarian MOL.

- We have no problem with secondary sanctions. We cannot import the 6,000 tons of diesel per day that we consume. We have been successful in doing so for exactly 75 days now and I am proud of that - he added.
