The Serbian Government adopted a Conclusion at its session recommending that employers allow employees who celebrate Christmas Day according to the Gregorian calendar, Catholics and members of other Christian religious communities, to not work on December 24, 2025, and the same recommendation applies to employed Orthodox believers, who celebrate the holiday on January 6, 2026, according to the Julian calendar.

If they are required to continuously perform their activities during public and religious holidays, employers are also recommended to provide employees with the rights they are entitled to for working on a holiday that is a non-working day.
