HAIX Group considering expanding production in Vranje and creating new jobs

The German company HAIX Group is considering expanding production in Vranje and creating “a significant number of new jobs.” Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic held a meeting with representatives of this company, and the topic, as she stated on her Instagram account, was precisely the further expansion of production in Serbia and increasing the number of employees.

HAIX is engaged in the production of footwear and specializes in the production of footwear for the military, police, firefighters and other uniformed personnel. The arrival of this company was first reported in more detail by the media in 2022.

A year later, or rather in 2023, as some media reported, HAIX was granted EUR 2.6 million by the state for a footwear production plant in Vranje, which was already operating at the time. It was indicated then that the Vranje plant should employ at least 651 new permanent workers by the end of 2025 and that at least EUR 2.8 million would be invested in that period.
