Construction of Aquatic Center in Surcin requires feasibility study and project documentation, tender announced

The company SPV Akvatik centar doo Beograd has announced a tender for the execution of all preparatory work (preparation of missing foundations and documentation), preparation of a feasibility study, preparation of project-technical documentation (preliminary design, approval planning, detailed design) and works authorized by the Procuring Entity for the construction of the Aquatic Center complex and the SAO1 road.

The value of the work is not specified, and the tender expires on December 3. More details (in Serbian) can be found HERE.

Let us remind that, in July, the Hungarian company Market Epito Zrt was awarded the contract for the preparation of the urban planning-technical documentation for the construction of the Aquatic Center within the EXPO complex in Surcin.

The Government of Serbia founded the company called Privredno drustvo SPV Akvatik centar d.o.o. Beograd, for the purpose of the construction of a sports complex for water sports. The future sports center will be located within the National Stadium complex and the EXPO Center in Surcin.

The Aquatic Center is a complex that is meant for training and international water sport tournaments, and the plan is for the facility to spread on an area of 10 hectares. The sports center will be built in line with the FINA standards for world water sports, and the seating capacity will be 4,000. However, in September, news arrived that the construction of theme parks, dolphinariums and Aquatic Center would not begin before the end of EXPO 2027, because, as announced by Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, work on those and some other facilities within the EXPO complex in Surcin would begin after 2028.
