The president of Guan Nan Group says that this would be his first European investment and that Serbia is a favorable country for investment.
– I am sure that my investment will develop successfully because Serbia has duty-free agreements with many countries and this opens up numerous markets for Chinese investors. It also has a Free Trade Agreement with China, which is very important to us. Our company has invested in many countries in Southeast Asia, but now I want to shift the investment focus to Serbia as a European country – said Cai Shaoxiong, President of Guan Nan Group.
After touring the exhibition area, the Serbian delegation met with representatives of the municipality of Keqiao, which has a population of 1.13 million and is one of the ten most successful districts in China. The mayor of the province presented the capital of silk and satin.
– Our revenues in the textile industry exceed 140 billion yuan (USD 20 billion). We are developing rapidly because we have excellent infrastructure and are connected by air and rail to key points. In addition, we apply innovations and modern technologies in the textile industry – said Jing Yao, Mayor of Keqiao.
An agreement on friendship and cooperation between the Keqiao province and the municipality of Cuprija was also signed at the meeting.
