Italian Bonollo interested in acquisition of Vrsacki vinogradi

As the newspaper claims, the Embassy of Serbia sent the letter of intentions for the Serbian vinery in mid July to the address of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade.
Blic states Bonollo produces famous brandy with the same name which it produced last year of 100.000t grapes and produced 20.000 liters of wine as well.
Blic reports that the Agency for Privatization should this week release a public call for bids and sale of Vrsacki vinogradi.
After proposals processing, the Ministry of Trade will decide on sale method which can include a tender, an auction, strategic partnership or partial property sales.
The Commercial Manager at Vrsacki vinogradi, Dragan Nestorov, says that for a long time Vunogradi want an owner which operates in wine production.
- Last year, we sold 5.500 mil liters of wine. We have 9,5 mil on stock but in 2013 we showed losses. The reason is not business but debts from the previous privatization – Nestorov explained for Blic.
Vrsacki vinogradi were sold in 2006 to the consortium of Vinoprodukt Coka, Rodić MB KO and Secer Safer. Two and a half years later, privatization was cancelled. Sale was tried in 2013 to Chinese Guan Nan which should have bought Vinogradi at the price of EUR 5,2 mil which is the third of the company market value.
The privatization caused discussion of the former Minister of Trade, Mladjan Dinkic and the cabinet of the President Tomislav Nikolic who were accused for the pressure to sign unfavorable contract with the Chinese.
