The price of fuel is the lowest when purchased from Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS), and other solutions for purchasing derivatives will be more expensive, assessed the honorary president of the Association of Serbian Employers, Nebojsa Atanackovic.

– Certain quantities of crude oil for processing at NIS’s Pancevo Oil Refinery are in stock until November 25. After that, it is realistic to expect a price increase if derivatives are purchased through other means – Atanackovic, who owns a gas station, told Beta.

He added that there was a possibility that the state could reduce the special tax it collected through excise duties, but that that would mean a smaller inflow of money into the budget.

The owner of the Knez Petrol gas stations, Srdjan Knezevic, assessed that that day’s increase in fuel prices by three dinars for the next seven days should have happened the previous week due to the rise in the price of crude oil, which would determine whether the prices of derivatives would continue to rise or fall.

– Everything depends on the movement of the price of crude oil, it can rise or fall. I expect the price to stabilize after the repair of the fire damage at the Mol refineries and the sale of Lukoil – said Knezevic.

He stated that NIS had increased the delivery of fuel above the contracted quantities and that it had received 30% more.

Knezevic said that his company had 120 gas stations in Serbia and that it was the largest retail chain after NIS, and that there was enough fuel at all of them.

The owner of the Radun Avia gas stations, Jelena Radun, stated that she expected a slight increase in prices because fuel had started to be imported by tanker trucks, which increased costs.

– We have an annual contract with NIS, but we do not purchase the entire quantity, but rather buy part of it from importers, and the input parameters show that the price of petroleum products is increasing – said Radun.
