Metal waste storage facility to be built in Zrenjanin – Environmental risk on 2000 square meters

The Zrenjanin City Administration has decided that an environmental impact assessment is not required for the “Solid Metal Waste Storage Facility” project.

The construction of a solid metal waste storage facility is planned in the business zone located on Temisvarski drum Street. The project leader is the Zrenjanin-based company Baoly.

As the zrenjaninski.com portal has already written, Baoly doo has a permit for the storage of non-hazardous waste with a capacity of up to 40 tons per day, i.e. the storage of metal waste, copper and aluminum.

It now plans to store new types of metal waste, namely zinc, lead and stainless steel.

“The project owner will maintain the capacity prescribed by the permit for the storage of non-hazardous waste, which means that the total capacity will not change, but a redistribution of daily and annual capacities for storing metal waste will be carried out,” stated the Environmental Protection Department of the Zrenjanin City Administration.

The storage is planned within the business complex owned by the company TVB doo from Zrenjanin, and the operator has leased an indoor hall with an area of 1,939 square meters.
