Regulation on limited margins in effect from today

The Government of Serbia’s regulation on the limiting of margins in wholesale and retail to 20%, which applies to 23 types of goods, or about 20,000 products, is in effect from today. It is expected that the regulation, which will be valid for six months, will contribute to a reduction in prices of about 15%.

A fine of 300,000 dinars is prescribed for a natural person who violates the regulation, and 50,000 dinars for a responsible person in a legal entity, and they may be banned from conducting certain activities for a period of six months to one year.

For entrepreneurs, the fine is 150,000 dinars and they may be banned from conducting certain activities for a period of six months to one year.
