Rakova Bara wind farm with power of 150 MW to be built on 142,000 m2 near Kucevo

The company VE Rakova Bara d.o.o. from Zagubica has submitted a request to the Ministry of Environmental Protection for a decision on the need for an environmental impact assessment for the project to build the Rakova Bara wind farm in the municipality of Kucevo. The study is being prepared by the company ECOlogica URBO d.o.o.

According to the plan, the complex will cover a total area of 142,361.2 m² and include 19 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of up to 150 MW.

The produced energy will be placed in the 400 kV transmission network via the Rakova Bara wind farm substation and connection to the existing RP Drmno - HPP Djerdap 1 transmission line.

Since 2022, the investor had been conducting wind potential measurements at the Vrtec location, based on which it was confirmed that there were conditions for technically viable use of wind energy.

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has already issued location requirements for the project.
