Inflation expectations of financial sector increase from 3.5% in June to 3.8%

According to the statement, the financial sector’s expectations in the August survey by the Bloomberg agency are 3.6%, which is an increase compared to July, when they were 3.4%.
Short-term inflation expectations of business representatives, according to the Ninamedia agency survey, after seven months, increased from 5% in June to 6% in July.
According to a survey by the Ninamedia agency, the financial sector’s expectations for two years ahead increased from 3.2% in June to 3.5% in July, while expectations for three years ahead decreased from 3.2% to 3.1%. According to the same source, the economy’s medium-term inflation expectations in July remained unchanged (5%) compared to the previous month. The economy’s medium-term expectations range from 4% to 5% from the end of 2023.
As a reminder, since May 2015, the National Bank of Serbia has been regularly reporting monthly on the inflation expectations of the financial sector, the economy, trade unions and the population.
