Short-term inflation expectations of the financial sector in June remained unchanged at 3.5%

- According to Bloomberg’s July survey, financial sector expectations slightly declined to 3.4%, down from 3.5% in June. Meanwhile, corporate inflation expectations one year ahead, based on Ninamedija’s survey, remained steady for the seventh consecutive month at 5%. This aligns with the average level observed throughout the previous year, indicating consistent sentiment among business leaders, the NBS also announced.
Ninamedija’s June survey also revealed a moderate decrease in medium-term inflation expectations within the financial sector, with projections for both two and three years ahead falling to 3.2%, down from May figures. Business sector expectations for the same periods held steady at 5% in June, following a slight decline to 4.3% in May. Since late 2023, corporate medium-term inflation expectations have remained within the 4% to 5% range, according to the central bank.
