If the announcements made by some previous construction ministers had been true and based on reality, the construction of the section C of the ring road around Belgrade would be well on its way, that is, it would have started back in 2024. However, the situation on the ground and the tenders which are only now being opened speak otherwise. Because it is only now that the PE Roads of Serbia has opened the public procurement procedure for the preparation of the Spatial Plan of the Special-Purpose Area of the Section C of the Ring Road around Belgrade from Bubanj Potok to Pancevo. The preparation of this plan, as said, aims to create the conditions for the realization of the project of the construction of this part of the ring road, which is also part of the international highway route 4 (SEETO), whereas, by state-road categorization, it belongs to the IA-grade state road (highway) A 9, Bubanj Potok-Pancevo-Romanian state border.

The preparation of the planning document will encompass road routes around 31 kilometers long and rail routes around 29 kilometers long.

The estimated tender value is RSD 40 million without the VAT.

Bids may be submitted by September 16.
