Tender Announced for Reconstruction of Road Between Valjevo and Kosjeric – Project Valued at EUR 15 Million

The EU Delegation in Serbia has announced a tender for the design and execution of rehabilitation works on the IB-21 state road, covering the Valjevo (bypass) – Kaona – Kosjeric section, from kilometer 153+200 to 173+200, totaling 20 kilometers.

The public procurement was commissioned by PE Roads of Serbia (Putevi Srbije), and the total project value is estimated at EUR 15 million (excluding VAT).

The scope of work includes: Preliminary demolition works on existing road elements, Pavement structure upgrades, including the construction of carriageways on access roads, Widening of existing pavement structures, Laying bituminous base layers and asphalt wearing courses, Installation of concrete curbs and drainage gutters, Structural works on bridges, Drainage improvements, stabilization of slopes, Roadside landscaping, and Installation of traffic signage and road safety features.

The tender is open until September 4, and the project is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The rehabilitation of the Valjevo–Kosjeric road section was previously announced by President Aleksandar Vucic during his visit to Kosjeric in June.
