Higer to Present Trolleybuses – That Do Not Yet Exist – at GSP Belgrade

Representatives of the Chinese bus manufacturer Higer and Aowei, a company specializing in supercapacitor production, will hold a presentation of trolleybuses today at GSP Belgrade, eKapija has learned from sources within the company.

This would be unremarkable if not for the fact, as our source points out, that these vehicles do not yet exist, not even in Higer’s production facilities. The company representatives will be presenting prototypes of trolleybuses whose production is still only planned - and that plan will likely come to fruition only if Belgrade decides to purchase them.

- The issue is that Higer has not yet produced a single trolleybus, so we currently know nothing about their specifications, performance, or quality. Theoretically, if a deal were to be finalized with Higer, Belgrade would effectively become a testing ground, where this Chinese company would conduct its first experiment in manufacturing trolleybuses, said a source familiar with the upcoming presentation, adding that the event will be organized by the official importer of Higer vehicles in Serbia.
