Employment in Serbia Up by 0.1% in Q2 Compared to Last Year

In the second quarter of this year, Serbia recorded 2,370,103 employed persons, which is 0.1% more than in the same period of 2024, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.Of the total, 1,898,531 people were employed in legal entities, 425,321 were entrepreneurs, individuals employed by them, or those self-employed, while 46,251 were registered as individual farmers.


Compared to Q2 2024, the number of employed persons in legal entities decreased by 485, the number of entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals increased by 7,070, while the number of registered individual farmers dropped by 3,652.

Compared to the previous quarter, the total number of employed persons rose by 5,209, or 0.2%. Employment in legal entities increased by 1,065 (0.1%), the number of entrepreneurs and self-employed grew by 5,026 (1.2%), while the number of registered individual farmers declined by 882 (1.9%).
