Construction of Chinese SHAC factory in Novi Sad, worth EUR 40 million, will soon begin - Supply of chassis for BMW and European customers from 2027.

In Novi Sad, the construction of the first factory of the Chinese company SHAC in Europe, worth about EUR 40 million, will soon begin. The factory will produce chassis. As announced, in the first phase of construction, the factory will employ 200 workers, 50% of which will be highly educated staff, while 20% will be workers with secondary education.

The Mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, emphasized that this investment is an important step in continuing the positive trend of attracting foreign investments to the city, which has opened 14 factories in the last 13 years.

- Thanks to the cooperation with renowned brands, the opening of the SHAC factory will improve the global position of Novi Sad - Mićin stated.

The company SHAC, as stated, already reached agreements with the German BMW, and the factory should be open by the end of 2025, with first serial deliveries to European customers planned for the first quarter of 2027.

The Shanghai factory SHAC (Shanghai Huizhong Automotive Manufacturing) manufactures and markets heavy duty trucks and buses, as well as vans with sound and lighting and mini buses.

It was founded in 1992, and the roots of truck production go back to 1958, when the first vehicle of its kind was assembled in China.

Kompanija Shac iz Šangaja će u Novom Sadu proizvoditi šasija za automobilsku industriju za EU tržište (BMW...), u okviru industrijske zone CTPark Novi Sad East, koja se nalazi na kaćkoj petlji.Posao dobija 150 radnika, a površina kompleksa je 19.000 m2.

Šangajska fabrika SHAC (Shanghai Huizhong Automotive Manufacturing) proizvodi i plasira na tržište teške kamione i autobuse, kao i kombi vozila sa zvučnim osvetljenjem i mini autobuse.

Osnovana je 1992, a koreni proizvodnje kamiona sežu u 1958. godinu, kada je u Kini sastavljeno prvo vozilo te vrste.
