Efektiva calls on boycott of retail chains for five days

Efektiva says that the invitation has been supported by the consumers’ associations Prosperitet from Novi Sad and Republicka Unija Potrosaca from Belgrade.
– Since the last boycott on Friday, January 31, and after the public invitation to retailers to take concrete steps toward the lowering of prices, it has even happened that certain boycotted chains have increased prices. That requires a new action on the part of consumers, which will be transformed into a five-day boycott – they say.
If there is no concrete reaction after this boycott either, they warn that, together with the consumers, they will make a decision to boycott certain retailers for a longer time period, with the aim of making them lower the prices that way.
