Pancevo to Get Another Wind Farm – Plan Envisages 25 Turbines with Total Power of 150 MW

The City of Pancevo has published the Detailed Regulation Plan for the construction of the wind farm Vetropark 1 in the area of Banatsko Novo Selo, Kacarevo and Pancevo. The rough area covered by the plan is around 1,764 ha, and it is located outside the building area of the settlement, on agricultural land.

In the area covered by the plan, the construction of a wind farm for the production of electrical energy from renewable sources is planned. Depending on wind potentials, the plan is to build an infrastructural complex of wind farms with a suitable medium-voltage cable, telecommunications and other networks, medium-voltage switchyards, as per need, and a network of access roads.

According to the preliminary analyses, the construction of a maximum of 25 wind turbines is planned is said area. The total power of the power plant is 150 MW, and the individual power of the wind generators will be defined during the technical development of the project in line with the phases and the dynamics of the realization, as well as the technical possibilities of certain types of central generators.

In case there are fewer wind generators than the planned 25, they will be distributed in line with the technical possibilities and depending on the biggest usable wind potential, the plan says.

The plan was commissioned by the City of Pancevo and prepared by the PE Urbanizam Pancevo.
