From May 1 this year, the price of electrical energy in Serbia will increase 8%, and that of gas by 10%, as approved by the Energy Agency Council (AERS). The average price of electrical energy for the purchasers which have the right to a guaranteed supply at regulated prices (houses and small purchasers), without the taxes and fees, will amount to RSD 9.50 per kWh, that is, RSD 13.31 per kWh with the taxes and fees, and is higher compared to the current average price by 8%.

The Agency has also said that, following the price adjustment, the price of electrical energy for the guaranteed supply in Serbia, without the fees and taxes, will still be one of the lowest ones in Europe.

AERS Council has also approved the decisions of the management organs of 31 public gas suppliers for the price of that energy source to also increase, so the average price from May 1 this year will be 10% higher.

Gas will thereby cost RSD 4.13 per kWh without the taxes and fees, that is, RSD 4.55 per kWh with the taxes and fees.

The Agency has also said that, following the price increase, the average price of natural gas for the public supply in Serbia will be, without the fees and taxes, one of the lowest ones in Europe.
